FreshCo is Sobeys Inc.'s discount grocery banner. Empire launched the banner in Ontario in 2010 and expanded it into Western Canada in 2019. Its documented shopper offer combines discount positioning, Sobeys private-label products and Scene+ offers.

Scene+
Participating FreshCo stores offer Scene+ member prices and targeted or weekly points offers. FreshCo says shoppers do not earn base points on every dollar; 1,000 points can be redeemed for $10.

FreshCo publishes a Lowest Price Guarantee against up to four named discount competitors in each local trade area. The current ad, product-equivalence and four-unit rules apply, and eligible competitors vary by province and store.
