Does FreshCo price match?
The policy, plainly
If one of a short list of discount competitors advertises an identical item cheaper in its current flyer, FreshCo sells it to you for 1¢ less. The guarantee is limited to up to four named discount competitors in your store's trade area, current-flyer proof only, and a cap of four units.
Scope: FreshCo publishes this guarantee for its stores, but the eligible competitor list is set by province and local trade area.

- Up to four named discount competitors in your store's trade area — in Ontario: No Frills, Food Basics, Real Canadian Superstore and Walmart. Applies to identical items (same brand, size, attributes) or a comparable private-label item. Excludes competitors' online/e-commerce pricing.
- Proof you need
- Yes — show the competitor's current flyer in print or official digital form, with the effective dates and item details visible.
- Competitor e-commerce / online pricing, and competitor misprints
- Third-party in-store vendors, prescriptions, gift cards, liquor, tobacco and products that cannot legally be discounted
- "Spend X Get X", clearance items, "Free" promotions, and loyalty-program discounts
- Limited-time products
- Capped at four identical units per customer; can't be combined with other offers
How to price match at FreshCo
- 01Check the cheaper item is in one of your store's participating discount competitors' current flyers (ask in-store for the list — it varies by location).
- 02Find the identical item (same brand, size, attributes) — or a comparable private label — in FreshCo.
- 03At checkout, show the current flyer in print or official digital form with the effective dates visible; FreshCo sells the eligible item for 1¢ less, up to four units.
FreshCo is the only tracked banner here that advertises going 1¢ below an eligible competitor rather than matching exactly. No Frills and Real Canadian Superstore also publish local-competitor programs; the eligible competitors and fine print differ.
