The policy, plainly
As of September 4, 2026, Metro publishes no price-match policy. We checked the Metro Help Centre, the weekly flyer, the terms and conditions, and the Moi loyalty programme terms on metro.ca, and none of them describes a customer-initiated price match against a competitor's advertised price. This is a finding about Metro' published material, not a claim about what an individual store manager will do at the till.
Scope: Applies to what Metro publishes chain-wide on metro.ca. Individual franchisees or store managers may still make one-off accommodations.

- Not applicable — Metro publishes no competitor price-match programme, so there is no competitor list to qualify against.
- Proof you need
- Not applicable — with no published price-match programme there is no flyer-proof procedure. Bringing a competitor flyer to the till is not backed by any Metro policy.
- Metro does publish its own weekly flyer specials and Moi offers; those are Metro' own prices, not a match of anyone else's.
- Nothing here prevents a specific store from making a one-off accommodation. It just is not a policy you can rely on or hold them to.
What to do instead at Metro
- 01Do not plan a shop around matching a competitor's flyer at Metro — there is no published programme obliging them to honour it.
- 02Compare the whole basket before you drive. A banner that does publish a price match (FreshCo, No Frills, Real Canadian Superstore) may still be dearer overall.
- 03Use Metro' own flyer and Moi offers, which are the discounts Metro actually commits to.
